About Me
I'm Dr. Ashley Cooper, DACM. I earned my Master's in Chinese Medicine in Portland, Oregon, in 2019, and completed my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with Pacific College of Health and Science in 2020.
My Focus
I specialize in digestive health and abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, and the emotional weight that so often travels with physical pain, including mood disorders and grief.
What I've Seen in Practice
I've treated teenagers navigating their first agonizing period, women in their 90s still discovering new things about their bodies, and every age in between. Person after person has come to me after years of quietly accepting period pain, digestive pain, or physical pain as just something to live with.
But pain rarely stays where it starts. The mental and emotional toll of chronic discomfort doesn't stay contained; it spills into confidence, into relationships, into how safe a woman feels in her own skin. Helping patients untangle that, and watching them rebuild real confidence and self-love as they finally understand their bodies, is the work that keeps me in this field.
My Philosophy
Chinese medicine refuses to treat a symptom in isolation. It looks at the whole person, because our physical, emotional, hormonal, and energetic selves were never separate to begin with. My job isn't just to bring relief; it's to help each patient walk away understanding her own body, often for the first time.
Why I Love Being an Elix Health Coach
What I love most about this work is the conversations themselves ā talking with women from all over the continent, hearing what they're struggling with and what they're hoping for, and helping each one find a new way to understand and heal her body.
