About Me

Julie is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with more than 15 years of training and clinical practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado (2013), completing over 3,400 hours of coursework, including 1,000 hands-on clinical hours. She received the Thaddeus Bukowski Memorial Scholarship for outstanding promise as a practitioner and the Golden Flower Scholarship for herbal achievement.

Julie is licensed by the State of Colorado (L.Ac.) and board-certified in Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM (Dipl. OM). She was also trained as a health coach through Precision Nutrition, competing both Level 1 and Level 2 Master Health Coach certifications.

My Focus

Julie focuses on women's hormonal health, including PCOS/PMOS, period pain, irregular cycles and endometriosis support. She pairs acupuncture-informed herbal guidance with nutrition, stress care and realistic lifestyle changes. She also works with digestive issues, chronic pain and mental health.

What I've Seen in Practice

In more than a decade of practice, Julie has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds. She has treated everything from period pain, PCOS/PMOS and fertility concerns to anxiety, digestive issues, chronic pain and chronic disease, using acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, cupping and breath work.

Julie has always believed holistic care should be available to everyone, not just a few. That belief led her to spend much of her career in community acupuncture, a model built to make care affordable and approachable for all.

So Elix was a natural next step, with the belief that the healing wisdom of Chinese medicine belongs to everyone, not just those who have the means and live near a practitioner. At Elix, Julie gets to keep doing what she's always loved: bringing that wisdom to more people, wherever they are.

My Philosophy

"I believe the body has an incredible ability to heal itself when it has the right conditions and tools. My job is to help you find those tools and fit them into the life you already have."

My Role at Elix

Julie joined Elix in 2022 and built its health coaching program from the ground up, and she leads the team today. As Senior Manager of Health Coaching and Clinical Strategy, she is Elix's in-house expert on TCM and women's hormonal health. She creates educational content for the Elix community, designs customer research on how the formulas perform, and works alongside Elix's medical advisors to develop new formulas.

"Building our coaching team means more people get one-on-one support from a trained Chinese medicine practitioner. Helping that care reach more people is what I love most about Elix."
